Create New Request
The Create New Request page allows you to quickly add a new request in ApprovalTrack. The Request Type pulldown box will show all of the defined Request Types that your administrator has created. The fields on the page will change depending on the type of request selected.

The Request Name should be filled in with a name or simple description for the Request. For example, a name for this request could be "New Product Press Release". Below the Name is the description field - This is an optional field, but can be very helpful when more information or a justification is needed for a particular request.
The fields below the Description will vary depending on the request type. If it is a "financial" request, then there will be a dollar amount box which must be filled in. Additionally, several custom fields can be defined to get the particular data required for this request.
On the right side of the screen you have the ability to attach files to the request. Simply type in a Description for the file (e.g. "Press release"), hit the Browse button and select the file, then press the Upload File button. When the file upload is complete, the file will be listed and you can delete it from the request if needed.
When you are finished with the request, simply press the "Create Request" button and the request will be routed to the first person in the approval chain.
